“To understand is to percieve patterns.”

-Isaiah Berlin

A loose definition of “The Adjacent Possible” is a kind of shadow future, hovering on the edges of the present state of things, a map of all the ways in which the present can reinvent itself in the future. #Patterns

As science teaches us that dark matter in the universe looks like neurons in the brain, it also states that the more we can measure the more we can visualize. #Patterns

Well, why not take this holistic approach to “everything #patterns another” to finance and economics? If we can understand the #patterns of human behavior, we can have a greater understanding of where markets are headed. Every cycle is different, yet every cycle is oddly similar. True comprehension comes when the dots are revealed to the long-term view, and you see the big picture.

The Elliot Wave Principle reveals that mass psychology swings from pessimism to optimism and back in a NATURAL sequence, creating specific and measurable #patterns. One of the most readily available places to observe the Elliot Wave Principle at work is in the financial markets, where changing investor psychology is recorded in the form of price movements. If you can identify repeating #patterns in prices, and figure out where we are in those repeating #patterns today, you can predict where we are going.
The corresponding 17year bull and bear cycles over the past 100+ years are just one example of how we can take from science and apply to finance using cognitive tools such as the Elliot Wave Principle.

I’m looking forward to speaking in more detail about these subjects in future audio, video, and written platforms!
